Art in the subway
I recently noticed that if you're on the Q train and look out to the right just before you get onto the bridge heading into Manhattan, there is art on the wall. It is like one of those flip books.
It seems to be behind a wall with a bunch of open vertical slats, so when you pass by it fast it looks like it is animated. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know who did this and how long it has been there? It's pretty cool.

I think this is the dekalb stop- if this is the same one I'm thinking of, I researched it a bit and it's apparently been there for many many years. Who knew.

Its been there since the 80's--as a kid Ialways thought it was Keith Harings work, turns out I was wrong. Glad to see they have cleaned it!:

ahhh, thanks! I've been taking the B/Q for many years and knew that something was there. I was surprised I had never noticed the animation before, but it makes sense now that I know it was just recently restored.

It's called the Masstransitscope, and it's in the abandoned Myrtle Avenue station.
