I bet Mougar has been offered an apartment, and decided he must completely forget about us if he wants to keep the apartment.

He hopes that we will forget about him, and that he will be able to look back on knowing us as a bad chapter in his life, one that involved lots of verbal abuse.

he's right about the verbal abuse, but everything else isn't going to happen.

We will find Mougar.
We will find his/her/its new apartment.

There is no use hiding.
