Potential prior engagement has been cancelled, so I'm 100% in!
Can't switch my vote in the poll, so just take one off the "maybes" and add it to the "definites". -

Livers are for losers. -
how $$ are these bars? I'm sort of tight on cash atm. Do any of these fall under a happy ahora?

I'm not sure about the happy hour situation. Cornelius and Weather Up are on the pricier side. Drinks at those places probably average around $8-11 with a couple of whiskeys at Cornelius in the $5 range, and beer being less at both places although I don't remember how much since I never order beer at either of them. The rest of the places are less expensive. -
Cheapest drink on the Cornelius menu - Georgia Moon Corn Whiskey, straight up - $4. If you drink it, listen for the gentle weeping of an flex-fuel vehicle somewhere in America.
But as Carnivore says - it's not cheap. Mixed cocktails are $10. Wines $8-13+. http://corneliusbrooklyn.com/spirit.pdf
Same story at Weather Up - although I vaguely recall their draft beer being $6 - they only have a few on tap. -

That corn whiskey is actually quite good- much smoother than I expected. -

Hmm, well maybe that's a good place to start!
Can't vouch for the accuracy of this, but here's a bit of info on Barette happy hour (4-7p, 2a-4am).

Just come out and find cute boys to buy you and the man-whore drinks. -
right, a few of us are old enough to be your Dad. So take our advice: There is good debt and bad debt.
Food and drinking: Good debt.
Education and property: Bad Debt -

Exactly - you constantly hear of people losing their homes due to excessive mortgage debt. When's the last time you heard of a bank repossesing the drinks someone charged to credit cards on Vanderbilt bar crawl? Never! *
Food and drinking: Good debt.
Education and property: Bad Debt

Me and my man-whore? I dont think anyones going to be subsidizing BOTH of us -
I would. But I'd expect services for payment rendered.
-
Weather Up, is super expensive. (FYI Carmen)

It's official....Vanderbilt trumps snowmobiles! -
Not by choice. However I have a lot of anger built up today so drinking may be a good solution)

Subject: I'm in
I'm in. Been lurking here for years, last posted in the era of "Prospect Park is not the Tour de France" yammering.
Seriously though, I just got a new job and I start next week, so I can go out and blow a few bucks. Also, my sweet babboo blew me off this weekend and says she "doesn't want to get too intense or exclusive" too quickly. Meaning that I'm still a single dude, so watch out ;-) -
Well mon ange, I am sure I would make out with you if I was going, but alas......

Is Mercury in retrograde or what?? I swear I want to kick everyone's ass this week, whether they deserve it or not.
I need to get high.
Oh yea, and I think me and my honey will be there. -
I voted that I'm coming tomorrow.
See y'all in 12 hours!
Goodnight. -
If everyone who said they might come actually shows up, I hope we can all get drinks at Weather Up within the time allotted there. Luckily, we should be getting there right after they open, and hopefully some people will want beer or wine.
-
I'm going back to "maybe" status. Definitely not a 6pm appearance.
Howdy, Stranger!
