  • Damn - that fireman in Queens had over $500k of pot plants in the basement. Talk about supplementing HIS income. You can grow it and then hire Flaco to dispatch all the bike messengers for deliveries.
  • Delivering herbal supplements via bike is fairly lucrative (like $100 a day) but, you know, you're delivering herbals supplements. Cash only. On a bike. At night.

    =not worth it.
  • Have any of you ever really read the details of a woman selling her eggs. The crap that they do to your body (hormones + needle sticks) is horrific. The the amount of hormones (and whatever else, it's been a while since I investigated this) they pump through your system, I'm fairly sure you're in for some serious health repercussions down the line somewhere (maybe huge jump in cancer chances, at a younger age than normal?).

I'd have to be pretty hard up for the $6K (give or take a grand) that seems to be standard these days to even consider it.
  • anecdotal evidence, here, but i will add that the friend i know to have sold eggs did indeed have cancer-ish problems VERY young.
  • I know two women who have sold eggs in their early 20s, both are now in their mid 30s and are fine. One of them did it twice. She said she'd do it again if she ever needed the money.
  • I don't think they'll take them if you're in your mid-30s now. I'd sell mine. Hell, I'd auction off pieces of my liver on ebay if it were legal. And someone wanted used liver.
  • So this is now intriguing me.
    Saw this on the web:
"A fee of $50,000 was recently being offered by an advertiser in the student newspapers of several Ivy League universities to a donor who is at least 5 feet, 10 inches tall and has scored higher than 1,400 on her S.A.T. Another Web site, Ronsangels.com, brings the eBay principle to fertility, supposedly offering the eggs of models at auction to the highest bidder."

    EGG PIMPIN
"Snell is an egg broker, one of a growing number of entrepreneurs who specialize in recruiting young women — most of them on college campuses — whose eggs offer infertile couples a better chance of conceiving than their own do. (Egg quality declines as women age, especially once they hit 40.) For each couple whom Snell matches with a "donor," her company, Creative Conception, gets a fee of $2,100."

    SO BECOME AN EGG PIMP!!!!!

The only thing your liver would be good for is some sort of bizarre science project.
  • Sell Yourself to Science: The Complete Guide to Selling Your Organs, Body Fluids, Bodily Functions and Being a Human Guinea Pig (Paperback)

I used to test sunscreens for $$. It involved a nurse applying the lotion on the morning, in and out of a hot tub all day, and then being lightly zapped with a UV lamp on a small spot on the back at the end. Sobriety not required. Best guinea pig job I've had.
