Brownsville Movie Theaters

I almost forgot the movie theaters in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn,
Lowes, located on Pitkin Avenue and Legion Street, Sutter Avenue near E.98 Street, The Ambassador, located on the corner of Saratoga and Livonia Avenue, (That's where my family and I went to see the Three Stooges live) and I think there was another theater on Stone Avenue, between: Pitkin Ave. and Belmont. (Maybe I'm wrong?)

No it wasn't Shemp or Curley, it was Joe Derita.
We went to see them around the early to the mid 60's.
By that time, Shemp and Curly probably past away.

Of course, where's my head at. They were only on stage with Ted Healy in NY. That would of been in the 30's. Then they went Hollywood.

hi friends of brook. i am 72and i recall the moviehouses you mention plus a couple more how about the PALACE on eny ave the STADIUM the Capitol on saratoga ave and the HOPKINSON on HOP.i went to jhs 178my uncles owned the Sportsmans cafe on fulton and rockaway ave.

The Sportsman Cafe, was it a candy store that sold egg cream and other items?
Did an Eddie Ryan worked theere?
