Salon/Stylist Recs?

So, I think that it's time for me to find a local stylist in a local salon. I had been going to a great woman who moonlighted from Oscar Blandi gave cuts in her apartment, but I'm getting tired of the logistics that entailed.

I have stick-straight, fine hair--but a lot of it. I'm generally happy with the layered bob that I have, and I don't want anything to do with color or other processes at this time.

Anyone have any names/locations that you would care to share? I'm in Prospect Heights, so anywhere in the neighborhood or the north Slope would be great.

Not in the North Slope, but not terribly far either (7th Ave & 1st St) is Medusa. I took a leap of faith after my regular stylist moved out of state and went there for my haircut last week. I got a fantastic haircut from Starr. I would definitely recommend him.

I ended up trying Salon Biton on Vanderbilt Ave. in Prospect Heights. I was a little nervous after reading reviews of Shlomy when he was at Vespa, but decided to still give him a try.

Although my hair is doing its usual post-cut freakout (the day after I get a haircut is almost always a bad-hair day for me) I am very happy with the cut and the experience.
