Tennis anyone? Watching it that is... at a bar.

I'm a super tennis junkie, but don't have cable... that might change soon because I refuse to buy an Old People Box. Does anyone know any local bars, PH, PS, FG, CH, that regularly play tennis? (especially early round Grand Slam stuff that's not on the networks.) I'm completely missing the French Open and don't want the same to happen with Wimbledon in a few weeks. Thanks!

  • You can check with Lobo - they always have sports on (although it's usually baseball). They keep the sound off, though.

Please post if you find a place, especially one that keeps the sound up!
  • I'm sure they'll be showing it at Plan B on Vanderbilt Avenue
  • So there are a few web sites that broadcast the tennis tournaments. I am also a huge tennis fan without cable. I am at work at the moment but will get you the links that I use. It is a subscription but it was only like 20 dollars for the whole year so you get all the majors. Hope you were able to see Fed tie the Sampras record on Sunday by winning the one tournament that had eluded him.
  • plan b showed the french open
  • Those links would be awesome Scrolls, thanks! Do you know if it's just live streaming, or can you access matches that have already finished?

Unfortunately I was at work Sunday morning, so the live scores on tennis.com had to suffice for the Federer match.

Plan B would be perfect on weekends, but weekday mornings its hard to find a bar open.

    Thanks again!
