Woman Says Misogynistic Cop Arrested Her, Punched Her, Grabbed Breasts for Carrying Pug in Subwaythe rest of the article, with photos, on the Gothamist
Greenpoint resident Chrissie Brodigan says she was riding on the L train between Bedford and First Avenue when her pug, who has health problems, overheated and began vomiting in the tote bag she was carrying him in. As she was leaving the subway station with the dog in her arms, she says a police officer's attempt to issue her a ticket turned ugly, and when she became upset the cop began saying, "If you're going to act like a woman I'm going to treat you like a woman." [We've updated with photos of Brodigan's arrest.]

Sincerely hope the cop gets disciplined.

Wonder how this is going to play out.
This cop was the first Hasidim to join the NYPD.
A misogynistic Hasid (the HELL you say) cop and an average Brooklyn female involved in what is being classified as a misdemeanor (per the NYPD) - with all witnesses dispersed.
I dunno - something doesn't seem quite kosher here. -
Wildly different account - http://www.nypost.com/seven/07012009/news/regionalnews/ruff_rider_cursed_cop_176994.htm

I hope all the witnesses are *not* dispersed...
I notice the name on the photo credit in the Post story is not quoted in the article . . . -
Yes I agree that the woman should have put (or kept) her pug in a carrier. After all, its public transportation and not her private vehicle.
However, being mis-treated by a police officer is the more egregious offense.
I do not place much trust in an account from the N Y Post (synonymous with N Y P D puppets).
I would like to hear from someone who actually saw what went down - without the media spin. Anybody out there???? -
Tonight on channel 11, at 10pm, on the news they are going to report on it. With the woman and dog featured.

Um. Really? Wow. -
Ana, some people are not as OCD as you. But yeah, it happens. Most with keys for me, or my MTA card.

That's messed up. Poor woman.
