Subject: Elected Guests as Vistors to this Saturday's Berm Cleaning!!

Dear Neighbors,

The Friends of the Berm will meet once more - on Saturday July 11 - before breaking for summer.

I especially hope you can join us because we'll have special visitors that day - State Senator Eric Adams and City Councilwoman Tish James will be touring the Grand Army Plaza area with Grand Army Plaza Coalition's 'Quality of Life' Committee, led by our fellow Friend of the Berms, Andrew Saunders. What better way to encourage our electeds to support needed improvements in the GAP area than to show them a sizable group of committed volunteers, sleeves rolled up and hard at work!

As usual, we'll meet at the corner of Plaza Street and Vanderbilt Avenue, and work from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. Adults and supervised children are welcome. Gloves and tools are provided.

Please mark your calendar now, and help us spread the word!

Print the flyer and post it in your building
Send a notice to a neighborhood list serve or bulletin board
Invite a friend or neighbor to join you

Hope to see you on July 11!

  • Bump! Hey folks... It would be awesome if people could turn out for this event even if they just showed up to show their support. I tried to have the Berm Cleaning made a sticky for one week but because of my lack of technical knowledge and the event does not involve - eating, drinking or biking... It did not happen!

Wish us luck and above all... Long Live the Berm!!!!
