Timewarner Broadband Issues

Has anyone in the Sunset Park/Bayridge area noticed a significant drop in speed with their road runner service. I am a new subscriber and I needed to know if my speeds are normal or if it is just a network issue.

I have used the following link to test my speed with Timewarner,

And I always download at under 500kbps. Timewarner told me I would be getting up to 10mbps, but I haven't even gotten 1mbps since I have had the service, which has been two weeks.

If this is the normal speed that everyone gets, then I guess I'll have to cancel Timewarner and order Sprint Mobile Broadband, at least it can come closer to broadband speed than Timewarner. If you are wondering I can not get DSL, building does not have copper wiring.

    How much does it cost to get broadband via phoneline and satellite tv in Russia? Preferably always on broadband. Not dial up. If someone just bought a regular satellite dish and hooked it up on say the balcony of an apartment would you get English language tv channels in Russia? I guess you can also get English lanuage tv via a cable provider (non-dish)? Can you get internet via on of those little portable modems that you plug into your laptop? Any idea of the prices? Thanks
