There's an optimo on Court street and degraw in Cobble Hill. A small selection of bongs and pipes and some other stuff, papers blunts. Not as good as shops in the village but hey, you dont have to go into the city
-
there's a shop in the north slope on 5th avenue with this stuff. east side of the street, but can't recall the cross street. kinda near miriam...
-
Does this really belong on this board? Didn't think asking where to purchase drug paraphanilia belongs on here.
-
What's wrong with purchasing accessories for fine tobacco products?
-
Very inappropriate thread. I hope there are never any head shops in prospect heights.
-
if one is so offended by this topic, why are you reading and posting on it?
ever heard of live and let live?
when did so many people in brooklyn get so uptight. -
this thread made me happy.
they're alllll...
uptight!
uptight! -

There needs to be more places in the Slope to buy Hemp Bikinis!
-
The place on 5th ave is at St, Marks I believe. I haven't been there in a while but I do believe they have a fine selection of rolling papers as well as a few bongs.
I was out at Flea by The Sea a week ago and there was a stand selling pipes, bongs and whatnot at very reasonable prices btw.
There should be more head shops in Brooklyn. -

circa may of 1998 and progressively into june of 2003 -

since buying these products is legal, i don't see any reason not to post. -
The sole purpose of using these items is to fasciliatate illegal drug use. Using these items coupled with the illegal drug they were intended for, does actually constitute a Crime in NY. (criminal use of drug paraphanilia) I just find it interesting that people like Meredith want all Laws enforced by the Cops indiscriminately, yet seem to have a sweet spot for people using Marihuana.

there are many things person can buy to use for illegal activity, but are legal to buy.
the law has repeatedly said that head shops are legal. -

i found this interesting as well -

Look, I want the police to enforce the laws, not all the people to obey them.
Yeah, sure, it'd be great if everyone obeyed every law, then the police wouldn't be needed and half the Dunkin' Donuts would close down.
Anyway, smoking marijuana is a victimless crime, (yes even more victimless than most double-parkers) and, hopefully, it will be decriminalized within the next few years.
Now if the police can catch me smoking marijuana then props to them. However, I seriously doubt they will be able to because what I do in my own home is my own business.
And Mr. Met, time for you to go look at YOUR Reagan poster, huh? Buddying up to a conservative like KWAC is kind of pathetic. -

never said i agreed with KWAC on this issue. just found it interesting that you don't agree with him.Anyway, smoking marijuana is a victimless crime,
first off, i smoke weed regularly. but, if you buy weed that comes from mexico, chances are that it is from a mexican drug gang. these gangs are responsible for literally thousands of deaths every year in mexico and parts of the US. if you purchase and smoke weed from these organizations, i'd argue that it isn't a victimless crime. -

Obviously you don't know me.mr. met wrote: first off, i smoke weed regularly. but, if you buy weed that comes from mexico, chances are that it is from a mexican drug gang. these gangs are responsible for literally thousands of deaths every year in mexico and parts of the US. if you purchase and smoke weed from these organizations, i'd argue that it isn't a victimless crime.
Please. First off everyone knows that Mexican weed is total schwag. I'd be surprised if anyone I know or you know or with half a brain would buy and smoke this stuff.
Secondly, I'd say 90%+ of the weed in America is from America. We know what we like to smoke.
Shit man, we give our money to the US government and they kill more innocent people then all the Mexican marijuana gangs put together. -

via US Dept. of Justice:According to a Library of Congress report, "an estimated 50 percent of the marijuana available in the United States is imported."
Overall marijuana production in Mexico--the principal source of foreign-produced marijuana to U.S. drug markets appears to be increasing.
so, yea. -
Don't believe the bullshit.
I'm not going to argue with you for the sake of arguing because you like to argue if marijuana is a victimless crime. I believe it is, most people believe it is. If you don't believe it is, then maybe that Reagan poster of yours is working some brainwashing magic on your ass. -
okay whatever

If I could step in Meredith, I took some curiosity in your comments...
You've noted that "everyone knows that Mexican weed is total schwag. I'd be surprised if anyone I know or you know or with half a brain would buy and smoke this stuff."
How do you know where you drugs come from? You suggest that " 90%+ of the weed in America is from America." because, as you suggest "We know what we like to smoke."
You cannot be serious. This is your logic? Why do you think we have borders? To randomly search cars for no reasons? I'll give you hint, it rhymes with BUG RAFFICKING. I seriously doubt that many American recreational drug users have explicit knowledge of where their drugs are coming from. But if you want to believe that drug use does not support Mexican (or Canadian) operations and cartels that often fight inwardly and neighborhoods crumble and civilians die, then you're simply being ignorant to justify your recreational drug use.
I also enjoyed how you stated, "Shit man, we give our money to the US government and they kill more innocent people then all the Mexican marijuana gangs put together" as yet another justification for your drug use. Not that I believe a word of it, but out of sight, out of mind I guess. -
Don't freak out - I just gave everybody acid through the internets.

Drug crime and the drug cartel problem in Mexico are due to drug prohibition, not drug use.

You'll notice we haven't had much of a problem with alcohol trafficking gangs since the end of alcohol prohibition. -

I know because I am in the know.
To someone like you, all illegal drugs are the same. Get real.
Now you need to go drink your legal alcohol until you vomit and fall down.
Have fun.
Ignorance is bliss indeed. -

i agree, but what are you trying to say in the context of these other comments?
that users of marijuana distributed by mexican drug gangs are blameless because it's actually prohibition that's the problem? -

Carnivore:
i agree that prohibition is the larger problem here.
but if you are a pot smoker and know that your weed is coming from Mexico, and you know the reputation of mexican drug gangs, how are you blameless? -
actually, nevermind. i don't care.

Perhaps you missed this:
Marijuana growers sought in Calif. wildfire
excerpt:30,000 plants found near blaze; Mexican drug cartel suspected
Forget the fire for a moment, just focus on what's going on.
...
There have been 100 arrests of suspected growers and traffickers in California this year, most of them involving Mexican nationals
This is just one "farm" that was discovered. The article mentions another "farm" and recovering another 93,000 plants. There are other similar farms all over the state of California and elswehere, some hidden in agricultural fields, some in forests, you name it.
So, back to your point...are you suggesting that the Mexican drug cartels are not a major force involved in growing here in the US? Or distribution?
Enjoy smoking it if you like (at your own risk), but perhaps this whole "victimless" myth needs to be laid to rest.
Howdy, Stranger!
