Prime Meats or Chestnut?

I need some help on good food in your hood.

My wife and I spend most of our time drinking on Smith/Carroll but the folks are coming so...free food.

We've been to Po with them already (loved it).

Loved frankie's too. Was unimpressed with Buttermilk Channel.

I narrowed it down between Prime Meats and Chestnut. Chestnut has a great looking menu but Prime Meats has a nice ambiance. Any help would be appreciated.

Frankie's is one of my default in-laws restaurants. Love it.
I don't think you can go wrong with those two -- do you want choucroute or a steak with inventive great cocktails (Prime Meats), or more Italian influenced (Chestnut)?

I've eaten at Chestnut twice. The first time years ago was amazing. The last time, more recently (6 months ago?) was not as good. It could have been what I ordered - the waiter suggested. (Hint: Don't get the hangar steak.)

I love Chestnut! Great food, lovely ambiance, nice waitstaff.
