Glad you highlighted Prospect heights, and thanks for posting the link. I don't have time to watch at work, but I'll check it out later.
-
Hope you like it! (I mean, it's kind of hard to compete with Don Draper, lawnmowers in offices, etc.--- but we do what we can.)
-
Really great show. And glad you got the PH neighborhood boundaries right: none of the Franklin/Bedford nonsense that the real estate agents are pushing.
-
^if you're going to be like that about it, rawstar is on the CH side of washington....

Sorry. Probably best not to quibble; I've just been annoyed lately wading through misleading Craigslistings.

They should have featured Prospect Heights HS, which by the definition provided above, is now located in Crown Heights.
Go figure... -

Yep, and the New York Jets and New York Giants play in New Jersey.

Brooklyn Nets, too.
*runs for cover -
Guess I'll take the bait ... is the contention that Prospect Heights extends past Eastern Parkway all the way to Empire Boulevard? Because PHHS is south of Eastern Parkway.

Don't take the bait. -
I actually am curious. I don't think I've ever heard anything other than Eastern Parkway offered as the southern border of Prospect Heights. But if the PHHS theory or even the Franklin Avenue theory have any legs then it would suggest that Eastern Parkway is not a border of Prospect Heights.
By the way, it was a nice video. Wish there had been more conversations with the locals, but it's nice to hear about the businesses and cultural institutions. I'm definitely going to have to check out Raw Bar. -
nive vid, but raw star and bbg aren't technically in the heights, as far as i know. and the junkyard gamelan band seemed pretty cool but they didn't say where it was or why or how it's related to p. heights. anyone ever heard them?

Their home is on St. Marks near Vanderbilt.
Anyone else here ever play gamelan? -
I'll take the bait, Prospect Heights ends at Washington Ave.
AND I've never heard of Prospect Heights extending SOUTH of Eastern Parkway where Prospect Heights High School is located.
If Prospects Heights is being or will be re-zoned, someone from the city should make it official.
Howdy, Stranger!
