Best dumplings in PH?

The ones at Hunan Delight are ok (technically in Park Slope, but in delivery range). I haven't had any great ones in the neighborhood. Go to Chinatown or Sunset Park if you want good ones (although it's possible to find bad ones there too, as I was sadly reminded a few days ago).

Slightly OT but NYC Dumpling Festival takes place 10/24 in Sara D. Roosevelt Park in Manhattan.
-
Hing Lung on Vandy has dumplings that are edible enough that I've ordered them more than once.
-
i second Hing Lung. their food is consistently good...

what and where? more info please. -
Rickshaw Dumpling Truck is amazing. They tend to be on 7th Ave (near 1st, 2nd Streets) on Saturdays. Have also seen them in Billyburg. The truck is mostly in the city.

Wish we had good dumplings in Prospect Heights, and even Park Slope. All of the spots around here have overly thick skins. If you want good dumplings without going to Sunset Park or Chinatown, Eton in Carroll Gardens is the best I've found. Richskaw for some reason is really popular, but I find their dumplings quite bland.

Geido on Flatbush serves amazing Wasabi Shumai. I think they also serve pretty solid Gyoza.
-
if we're including japanese, i vote for gen's crab and white tuna dumplings.
nothing like a good chinese pork dumpling, though. -
I second Eton in Carroll Gardens. They were recently voted the best dumplings in NYC.
-
I had some at Sushi Tatsu Friday night. They were OK. Wasabi pork.
-
I would say Eton is good, but definitely not the best in the city. Considering what we have in the Slope/Heights area Eton is worth the few minute bus/bike ride.

It's a truck with "Rickshaw Dumplings" written across the side in bright red(?). Usually parks on seventh avenue. Do s search I have def seen it discussed on the Park Slope board. -
I'm not a fan of Rickshaw. Taro Sushi makes some pretty good fried shumai but that's about it. Usually, I'll go to New Wonton Garden on Mott St. and just buy a few frozen trays of them to cook at home, or go to New Spring Garden in Sunset Park to eat out.

Really? My korean girlfriend said they tasted just like homemade.
To each his own. -
as long as we're including shumai, the shrimp shumai at gen are superb, probably the best dumplings i've had outside of chinatown.

The steamed shrimp dumplings at Hunan Delight in Park Slope are some of my faves. I haven't tried their other kinds though.
As for Rickshaw, it depends on the kind. I've liked the duck ones as well as the pork and chive. I don't think I cared for the shrimp or one of the chicken kinds (there are two different ones.)
