  • Is that why they never even bother to charge me for my meals? I thought I heard them whispering "she's so cute, skinny and white! Let's give her free stuff!" but I wasn't sure.
  • how unmoored this topic has become

let us return to the original topic of

    hating fixed gear bikes
  • I ride a single-speed, not a fixie.

m.m. - now ^ that is some straight-up, Master Yoda stuff right there.

It's true, the only thing in here is what we take with us. :-k
  • Brooklynian has been certified Most Toxic Site by the EPA for three years running, and even the Mobil Travel Guide says "Don't go there, girlfriend."

    then steal your bell

I said I didn't like the food enough to go back. The whole "me calling the entire establishment racist, weightist, or any other ism" is of YOUR creation. As for posting here publicly about a restaurant. As I have CLEARLY shown you before, people post reviews here A--L-L- T-H-E -T-I-M-E.

Why am I any worse for doing it?
    Cool thread.

To answer your question: For me it's really the bold letters, all caps, and overly defensive reactions to minor critiques. Critiques written my strangers on the internet. You come off as trouble. I am 99% certain that you aren't, indeed, trouble, but you got sucked in my masters of the brooklyian. Get out while you can.

I like your spunk though... and the fact that you used the words "snatch" and "nipple" in your initial posting.

Yes! Spunk, nipple and snatch in the SAME post. Top that bitches.
  • hm. i've been to sidecar several times and have never had a problem. this includes a recent brunch with a small infant who left much of his meal on the floor and table. the waitress was incredibly tolerant. and refilled my coffee.

NO WHERE in the original and even rebuttal posts am I saying that the establishment is a racist place, or a place that discriminates against fat people, or people who are dressed poorly.

NO. I opined about the burger which I called sub par. I talked about the fries which I also opined were sub par. Then I talked about THE PARTICULAR WAITRESSES TREATMENT OF ME Please get THAT straight.
    Then why even comment:

"It could have been that I dont look like what seemed like the average patron of that place."

if all you really wanted to talk about was the sub-par food and the bad waitress service.
  • I fixed your tag for you:

a TEASPOON of KISSES and a D.R.O.P. of GLEE
  • here's a little tip...

don't go to sidecar for the burger...it's just ok, anyway. the food there is fine, but certainly nothing to write home about.

as has been said in another thread, you want the best burger in park slope go to LOT 2 on 19th street and 6th avenue.

you will have no need for sidecar again.
  • I gave Sidecar two chances, and I really don't think I will be going back. The drinks were ok, but there was not much variety of food. I first went with a female friend, and then gave it a second chance with the bf. My bf had the burger and really didn't enjoy it much.

I'm not sure why this thread has turned into one about discrimination, but this really isn't one of the better restaurants in the area, so I won't be going back.

Actually it's off 20th street and 6th avenue, although you can get a great capuccino at southside on 19th st
