Cornelius
No one seems to talk much about this bar. I went there last night and had such a relaxing time. I guess it might not be the singles bar of choice, but as far as I'm concerned, it's a great place to go to actually have a converstion with fiends. I've only been there 3 times (I don't get out much), and each time has been great. I hope this place doesn't go out of business so I'm giving them a little love.

I like Cornelius too - but their hours aren't the best - for me at least.
They close the entire place for private events (without putting up a sign), close at 12 or 2 depending on the day, and have not let us in because they were "closing soon". If we go out for drinks, we tend to get a drink or two at a few different places and, geographically, they would be our last stop - but their hours don't allow that. I also wish they had more vegetarian options for food - their flatbread is good, but there is little else to order for someone who doesn't want meat. -
I'll gladly show them some love. I love their cocktails, specifically the Kentucky Saint. I've been there for brunch and several dinners and was happy with everything I ate. If you like oysters, they gots that too.
I usually go to Weather Up for cocktails, but with limited seating, long waits and $12 drinks I've started making Cornelius my meetup spot. -
Cornelius is my favorite place on Vanderbilt. I've never been let down. The food, drinks, and service are stellar. I was initially worried, given their location, but every time I go, the place is packed, so obviously they are making it work.
Does Bill still work there as a bartender? I haven't seen him in a while, but he makes a great drink! -
I dig Cornelius a lot. Fantastic drinks.
Like xlizellx, I too wish they had more vegetarian options though. -
I wish they had more things I could get with extra bacon. But at least their mac and cheese is awesome with it.

The happy hour with oysters for $1 is a treat. Great martinis too.

Mrs. C loved the braised flatiron steak. It was super-tender. -
I missed the steak bruchetta (sp?). Ive gone a few times just for that. Now that it is off the menu, I dont go anymore as there are other choice on Vandys....

Bill is back on Thursdays and Sundays. He was away for a couple of weeks.

Make sure to ask Jordan for a "Cat's Meow."

I'm not sure why this place isn't more busy. The $1 oysters during happy hour (all night on Mondays) are an amazing deal!
