Freelance Group

(I accidentally posted this on the Crown Heights forum originally instead of Prospect Heights.)

So I work from home a lot, and am going a bit stir crazy. I go to coffee shops sometimes, but am a little sick of them as well. Ideally, I would like to find a community of freelancers who get together at someone's apartment or a rented space on a regular basis. However, other than official-type writing rooms, which are typically expensive, I'm not sure if anything like this exists.

Does anyone know of anything, or where I could look? Craigslist has not been too helpful so far. Apologies if I'm using the incorrect forum for this sort of thing, and thanks for any help in advance.
