Another Attack on Park Place btw Underhill and Wash Sat. 3/6

Thank you to the woman who posted about her attack in Feb. on Park Place. Without you coming forward, I would not have been as aware of my surroundings last night. Thank you also to the two women who came out of their homes after I screamed.

I was walking on Park Place Saturday night, and I noticed a male figure standing by the park on Underhill Avenue. He came up Underhill fast and followed me down Park Place. I was walking quickly to catch up to a couple walking ahead of me, but he got to me first and grabbed my ass from behind. When I screamed and whipped around he ran.

My attacker fits the same description as the one from the Feb. attack on Park Place. He is young, about 13 or 14, slim, African-American male on foot. He did not have a weapon.

I spoke the police, but they were not able to catch him when we drove around.

Everyone, please be on alert!

    That sucks. Thanks for recounting here, and thanks for calling the police.

    Did you file a report? I ask because I understand folks have been discouraged from doing the paperwork that results in accurate crime statistics.

    Emmy, if you have the time , CH7 is holding a Town Hall meeting at the Brooklyn Museums Cantor Hall at 7pm Wed March 10th.
    It's an open forum which gives the community a chance to voice their fears and concerns .
    If you and a few others that have been victims of assaults or muggings speak at this meeting ,there's a good chance Ch7 will cover it on their newscast, which will force the Cops to clean up this ongoing problem.

    I was woken up Saturday morning maybe around 9 AM by a guy outside shouting in a startled voice, "Hey! ... Hey! ... Stop!" followed by hard, running footsteps. On Sterling betw. Underhill/Wash. Hope nobody got anything too valuable snatched. Oi.
