Hey, if New York State Supreme Court Justice Abraham Gerges says that I have to give up the brownstone that is paid in full from years as working as a firefighter and make way for *Barclays* sports arena-That's what's up!
Private property- schlivate loperty.
I mean why get all upset about chemtrails or these never ending wars or rich reichwingers calling for a New World Order when we can yell and scream about a ball gettin passed around?
What makes it even more cool is all of the sports gear clothes that we can buy that are made outside the USA by people who make 3 dollars a day in sweatshops. I mean that will definitely bring in income for us and them and more importantly Barclays!
For real, Brooklyn needs to lighten up, Nameen?
We need jobs like selling GMO food and hotdogs to people who get upset about real issues.
If people in Supreme Court Justice Abraham Gerges' hood wanted a stadium and they were hurtin in this economy cause they didn't get banker bonuses like Barclays did -he would do the same thing and allow his private property to be mandated to be seized too!
Bread and circuses that's what I'm talking about! -

Dude, don't mention the chemtrails, people will think you're nuts and then the men in black will turn up and disappear you. -
Karl does this mean that the regular chorus is having a hard time typing while handcuffed to the bar? You could hack out some haiku while chained
-
you will have to buy my new chapbook
"karl's haikus: shackled"
but where's yours? -
I'll let you know when it is trendy and cool to jump on the chemtrail info tip, so that you do not have to worry about what people might think, OK?

Aerosol Crimes

This documentary produced by chemtrail researcher Clifford Carnicom is a must see and an excellent research tool. Five plus years into the operations has provided ample evidence in this 90min DVD that covers many topics. Over the years aerosol/chemtrail research has provided some leads but even more questions as to who and why the spraying occurs. It is clear jets are deliberately spraying the sky's and it will not stop until enough people are aware and willing to stand up for the operations exposure and termination. -
Oooh a quote off:

Tridentine, if you are worried that your concerns about the Atlantic yards project are being ignored, it is because you muddy the waters with irrelevant paranoid delusional babblings about chemtrails and who knows what other conspiracy theories. On hearing such things, people will in general decide you are a crank who should be best ignored. -
MOD NOTE: yes indeed folks, you heard it here
PLEASE STICK TO THE TOPIC AT HAND
There are *other* threads to talk about *other* topics if you don't like this one.

Can we really go to the next level and get to the heart of the issue?
Who pulls the strings for things like this to happen?
When it happens to you personally, maybe that will help you look at the issue deeper.
Anyone think that huge banks and monetary influence wield enough power to influence any of our civil liberties to just be abolished? -
Yay! This is great news. Let the building begin. Freddy's will wind up moving to Gowanus and all of you can gulp your pints and write your amateurish poetry there.
Great work, Karl. Your activism really stopped AY dead in its tracks. You make me proud. -
my, that took a while for a proper krohning
did you get stuck in church again, jack?
such flattery can only come from such a dedicated fan
but you'll still have to buy my chapbook

Fast Forward a few years:
Person 1: I live in Prospect Heights
Person 2: Where is that?
Person 1: by the arena
Person 2: Oh, the area behind the big parking lot.
....not a real surprise, but it seems very few of the buildings beside the arena will be built

i forgot to mention
these waffle stands are self-serving -
There is this piece on the nymag site:

Seems like the Barclays Center should not require the entire space from Atlantic all the way over to Freddy's building on 4th Ave and Dean, but I guess you can't build an all-purpose events center without sprawling parking lots and garages. -
Freddy's is on the corner of Dean and 6th Ave, not 4th. The arena would sit on what is currently 2 city blocks, bounded by Atlantic, 6th, Dean and Flatbush.

EPA Orders Atlantic Yards Project Halted as Rare Species Discovered
http://mcbrooklyn.blogspot.com/2010/04/epa-orders-atlantic-yards-project.htmlAdding yet another delay to the Atlantic Yards process, the Environmental Protection Agency ordered all work stopped at the future Barclays Center Arena site after research scientists identified seven rare, endangered, or threatened plant and animal species there, or about 5.5% of the plant population and 1.9% of the fauna.
Forest City Ratner's planned $4.9 billion Atlantic Yards project includes a basketball arena plus a number of high-rise buildings.
A two-year study of the site, required by environmental laws but overlooked as developer Bruce Ratner successfully fought off a series of lawsuits centered around eminent domain and other legal issues, came to the surprising conclusion that the immediate area provides critical habitat for several unique wildlife species such as the Chittenango ovate amber snail, in addition to other documented rare and threatened plant species.
...... :-' -
You forgot the part about the Native American Burial Ground and Fossils.
Happy April 1st. -
Hee.
Loved this part:"This is totally ridiculous," said Robert Pragnetti, one of developer Bruce Ratner's lawyers. "It's a blighted area. We blighted it ourselves. There's no way in the world anything's going to be living there."
-
I really hope that a farewell to Freddy's party can be scheduled so all of us can say goodbye properly. I would hope that the party will include tears from non elected spokesmen and women, Druid poetry and activities that involve handcuffs and lots of drinking, anybody who knows please keep the rest of us informed.

i laughed until i realized it was no longer april 1st

one of the responders to article stated , sleeping at a nets game is not considered meditating, and wondered if Rev. Daughtry will be on the starting team.
