stoop sales listings web site
I'm new here, just moved to Park Slope. This past weekend my wife and I had a stoop sale. We found a site that may interest people in this forum, I don't know.
THIS IS NOT A COMMERCIAL POST----we don't have a thing to do with the site or even know who runs it. But we found it useful and several people mentioned that they saw our listing on the site. The site is "stoopsales.com." It lists stoop sales by neighborhood in Brooklyn. It's free, and anyone can post.
I hope this doesn't violate any rules for the forum. We just thought you might like to know about it.

Not saying you're related or anything, but how was it helpful if there aren't yet any sales listed on the site? (I just searched any date for all neighborhoods)
Do they wipe out past sale listings once they've expired? Does the "any" date option mean just "any upcoming" sale?
If so, it would be better to have an option to check a box or something to include expired sales, just like some real estate broker web sites allow you to include sold properties in your search results to get a better idea of the bigger picture.

I think they dump expired sales by dates. When I went there for the first time there were sales for this past weekend for most neighborhoods. I went there this morning and there were none, so I guess that's what they do. You might want to send them an e-mail about that.
Probably the sales build up during the week, so check back. I'm pretty sure we're going to have a stoop sale this weekend, so at least there will be one up there for Park Slope. (315 8th Avenue, between 3rd & 4th streets.)
