  • Allfamceo, glad to hear your outlook is positive but it still sucks this has to happen to anybody. Seems so drastic to burn a car to cover up theft.
  • There was another car on Lincoln & Classon that got torched a few weeks ago. Car belonged to a nice old man on Eastern Pkwy. There was a huge pile of trash out on the curb which was also ablaze.

I've seen more than a few stolen cars on fire in this neighborhood. Guy's a few payments behind, auto insurance is through the roof so he pays somebody to "steal" the car and torch it.
  • allfamceo149,

I think yours was the one that had the "family" decal on the back window. It was clear that you took great pride and care in it (unlike mine, in constant need of a wash, ha).

We've exchanged waves a number of times while parking on the block over the last few years when you or your wife was parking it (for alternate side, or sometimes after school's out, returning with kids) when I've been in the area for on-site related work nearby.

It sucks to see this happen to anyone, least of all someone you know in some way (even if just as a fellow parking spot shuffler with an occasional nod or wave).

Glad to hear your insurance is covering it.
