I heard this conspricy theory since barack has been elected.
conspiracy theory is people who control the economy deliberately is destroying barack and his agenda. people wouldn't ever elect a black president again, they deliberately destroy the economy so he'll look bad, once his term is up, they'll start lending all sorts of money out and restart the economy etc...
I hear this quiet often, i thought i share with you guys

After the second mccain-obama debate, when obama looked like the sure winner, congress got stampeded into TARP. Was it the last big money grab before the guy got elected and might have had a chance to change the agenda?

Subject: • CONSPIRACY to tank Obama?
Our president convinced us that "YES, WE CAN." Unfortunately, Professor Obama, expert on the constitution, respected professor on the subject, has neglected to tell us "HOW WE CAN" because I don't think he realizes yet just how conditioned everyone has become to expect "The Government" to do for us.
WE are the government. We elect a president to lead and then we work with our representatives to get things done, including regulating banks--which is one of the major reforms that is being worked on right now. You can help insure it passes and becomes law!
I have a question for you. Do you have you Senators and House Representative's phone number in your cellphone? No? You should. And so should everyone. Did you know that they count EACH CALL they get as if 100 people had called with your opinion because they figure most VOTERS don't lift a finger to do their duty to participate. That is power. You know, when we don't care we get Cheneys. They know we don't care and the screw us.
Time to step up. YES WE CAN and this is HOW WE CAN...
Go here: www.Congress.org. All you have to do is punch in your zip code and all your representatives numbers come up. You don't like bankers honkin on Obama? Me either. So tell your representatives! Tell them you want a STRONG Wall Street reform bill and any banker dumb enough to risk the health of their own bank by not lending will find they have We, The People, to deal with.
This works. We are not even halfway through Obama's first term. Let's pass Wall Street reform together NOW and your fear of a banker conspiracy to run him out of office will go away. Yes, we can.
Kick some ass. Spread the www.Congress.org tool around. Copy this into an email and send it to your younger brothers and sisters, cousins and friends. Let them know you don't JUST vote, but you make a difference by voting often each time you call your representatives!!! Make sure everyone you know has their representatives in their cells and that they CALL OFTEN with any concern about our government. The side benefit is that if congress knows we are watching then it doesn't matter who funds their re-election. We are the ones that either keep them in office or boot them out with our VOTE. Right? It's ALL in the numbers. High voter turn out on election day gave us Barack (against all odds), and high voter turn out every day with calls to congress will give us our government back.
YES WE CAN. Congress is HOW WE CAN. Make no mistake, when they know we are showing up in a sane way (not screaming), they listen because they want to keep their office and sane, calm, voting people scare the lights out of them. <LOL>
Hope that helps answer your concern. -
It's true enough but not really a conspiracy theory and not necessarily racially-tinged either. Bad economy is bad for the party in power, always. Party out of power has no political motivation to help, especially in an election year.
The economy was destroyed before the Presidential election. The machine is too complex and the flaws too systemic to just be for the screwing over of one guy. We'd be in the same position, at best, with anyone else in office. -
Yay two-party system!

this theory is getting more popular among the black community.

I meant to say that at www.congress.org website, the place to type in your zip code is on the upper right. The cool thing about that home page, though, is it gives you the news on which issues are being addressed in congress, and that is a great way to learn how to call your representatives! They WANT you to call them. Either leave a message or you will get an aid to take a message. Be polite and keep it simple and you will feel the power of your role in making our country as good as it can be.
It is so important to remember that when we don't show up our government has no reason to do what benefits anyone but those who represent us. We don't care; they don't care. Very simple. Only one in ten under the age of thirty voted. Rock the vote my ass. Pass it on. -
WOW, I just sent the above and got an alert about Wall Street reform legislation in my email (Call NOW and save the phone numbers in your cell address book!!!--then call two friends to do the same. Ask them to call and then call two friends. YES WE CAN):
New York's senators are gearing up to cast their last votes on Wall Street reform tomorrow. Right now, we believe we might have just enough votes to pass this historic legislation.
But we won't know until the final vote is cast -- and we're only certain of one thing: it could come down to one single senator.
That's how close this is -- and that's how urgently we need your help.
Your senators, Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, have been fighting alongside President Obama to pass this bill -- and they need to know you appreciate their leadership.
Call your senators now and let them know you support Wall Street reform -- and then make sure to let us know what they said.
Call Sen. Schumer at (202) 224-6542
Call Sen. Gillibrand at (202) 224-4451
