  • Ahhh ok. I am saving my pennies for a road bike next season. If I remember I will hit you up in the spring. Speaking of tires....
  • Spring? Heh - might be in shape enough to keep up with you skinny kids, by then...
  • Rave:

Whynot to Mrs Whynot: I've noticed that women are showing more and more skin as the summer goes on. Obviously it is related to the heat, but I think women are also being more free as they see other women wearing less. What do you think?

Mrs Whynot to Whynot: I'll bring that question up on Thursday at the "All Women's Meeting", it is the day after the Wednesday "All Jews Meeting" I've posted about. I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.
  • Rave: I have a somewhat flakey co-worker.

She had never been out of the country before, and returned from a 2 week long trip to Italy today.

Whynot: Hey, welcome back. How was your trip?

Co-worker: It was great. My hair did not friz at all because there was no humidity in Italy. There was lots of churches and stuff too.

    Whynot: (Speechless)
  • ^^^ What - that's not how you choose vacation destinations?

In her defense, I doubt she chose Italy for that reason. It was likely a pleasant surprise, so pleasant that she chose to mention it first.

....I can't wait to see the photos. I imagine they will be of herself, standing in a mirror with un-frizzy hair.
  • Ben Affleck

(you decide how to file that one)
  • Rave: back home. Yesterday I was in 105 degree temps, heat index around 120 (after dark!) and today I have my windows open and there's not a bead of sweat on me.

    Rave: I already unpacked!

Rant: very sleepy after having to wake at 5 am for early flights.
  • Rave: NY weather is pretty sweet right now, hopefully I can avoid needing a monthly Metrocard till about October or so

    +1
  • RAVE: NO AIR CONDITIONING AT MY JOB AUUGGGGHHHHHH
  • ^ That must be a Raving Rant.

    Relevant quotes:

"YOU MUST GIVE DIS PEOPLE DEAH AIR"

    "Quaaaaaaid...start the reactor..."
  • Rave: doing nothing at my temp gig and getting paid to do it!

Rant: one can only surf the internet for so long...
  • Rant: Okay people.

It's now just about midnight and it's freakin'

AccuWeather.com - Brooklyn Weather | Forecast & Radar for Brooklyn, NY

    out.

Rave: I guess it's better than 14 degrees.
  • Rave: My BFF got me this awesome hookah, complete with charcoal and apple tobacco!

    image

Rave: We tried it yesterday and it works great.

Rant: Now it's Ramadan, so BFF won't be able to use it again for a month.
  • Rant: Mortgage broker. Want to strangle. Once this is done, will post his name and idiocy online. How do some people keep their jobs?

Rant: Broker's incompetence also pissing off seller (who has never taken a loan to buy any of her many homes, just cash) and doesn't understand why this takes more than a week. Seller will likely pull the plug if the broker can't sort it out by tomorrow night.

Rant: possibility of being stuck under horrid, loud children.

    Rave: rain?
  • Rave/Rant: yesterday the studs broke down a fence and mingled with the girls. And by mingled I mean had a full on orgy. As a result, massive quantities of abortion shots have been purchased and will be administered soon.
  • Alpaca orgies  sounds kinky

Rant: I really need a cheap "stick vacuum" that works extra well on wood floors. Any Recs?
  • Rant: stupid LIRR signal tower fire has me sitting on a train to no where.
  • Rant: Knowing that lirr had a fire, I assumed they would not be running many trains. I allotted 1 hr 30 min for them to run a train that usually runs every 20 min. I forgot about the train to no where technique. A trAin came quickly, it captured me and I've looked at south richmond hill for 2 hours
  • Rave: freedom!
  • ^^ Are you sure it wasn't some trap, neuter and release program? Word is out that your a horndog.
  • Rave: Nice weather! The hot and humid is gone, at least for now. :D/
  • I wear my title with pride. I'll show those LIRR people, and take the subway home. Maybe boob lady will be there to brighten my day again. I've gotta thank her for helping me get my new title.

Rant: am I the only one old enough on this thread to remember the movie Porky's? .....what a stupid movie.
  • Rave: idiot broker's incompetence may mean getting an even lower rate on our mortgage with the recent rate drop!

    Rave: summer veggies

    Rave: rain!
  • Rave: the tenth and final day in beautiful Oregon is 92 and not humid. perfect for shopping in the garden, picking apples and herbs and berries and swimming in the pool with blackberry infused marghs. Hooray!!!!!!!

    Rant: red eye home tonight
  • Rave: NETFLIX iPHONE APP!!!!!!!

But I agree it's awesome in principle.
  • ^^^ actually, when you have a signal, it is reasonably fast - it's the coverage that sucks. In any event, I'm usually within wifi range (which is the only reason that I was able to downgrade my data usage plan).
  • Rave: the weather is nice enough for bike riding
