Shredding documents
I have a lot of old documents that I want to recycle, but about every fifth page has account numbers and should probably be shredded. I own a very small shredder but it would take hours to shred this mound of paper. It would also take hours to sort out which pages need to be shredded versus those that don't. Any ideas for getting rid of this stuff?

Give them to a friend who works in healthcare. They may be willing to bring them into work and dump them in one of the locked bins.

I have a fairly high capacity shredder. Let me know if you want to bring your documents by for shredding.

Does Kinkos do that? Not sure.

Whatever happened to a good old bonfire?

I'm in the same situation -- don't want to sit by my shredder all day with the stuff that's been piling up. The new place that's supposed to be opening up soon on Lincoln and Classon (Lincoln Postal) apparently will have shredding capability. I'm saving a big pile of docs for them to make opening day graffiti out of. Hope they open soon.

Did you mean confetti? -
Yes, that's what I mean. One of those days. At least it was spelled correctly.

The copy shop on 7th Avenue (between President and Carroll) now offers shredding services. I still might wait for Lincoln Postal to open.

Actually, this might be a good idea for a spring block party. Everyone chip in for an industrial shredder, have them park it on the block and all of the neighborhood can bring out their important documents to be shred.

I think if the economic recession keeps up we'll find a good use for all that shredding paper, not that anyone will want to steal our identities then....
