break in smashed window on Butler and Plaza

I parked my car on the corner of Butler Pl and Plaza st
Wednesday, and when I went to get in it I saw the doors where unlocked and
the window was smashed.
There was an apt. window facing my car with the lights on and the shades up.

I also know that some one the buildings on this block have security cameras.

They ransacked my car and stole everything they could.

Has anyone noticed a spike in these types of crimes?

The police told me someone was mugged around the corner around the same time
closer to Vblt.
