I asked the same thing. It's a fund raiser for them - which makes it sting less in my eyes. (At least they're not like Summerstage at Central Park. Seems like they charge for anything good.)

What's the cause? Is there a website with more info?

The $70 tickets allow you to sit on white picnic chairs.
  • I just got back from seeing LL Cool J at Wingate Field tonight. Awesome show. And the price... FREE!!!!!

To keep the rest of the shows free....
  • Add me to the list of "would like to go, but can't stomach the ticket prices". I know it's for a good cause and all, but I just can't afford the show. Too bad too, as I've been to a Jill Scott show and she puts on one hell of a performance!
  • I went to the Manu Chao show yesterday and just stood and watched it from the hill above the stage for free! I love all 3 of them, but I'm really not paying $70 for what I can see and hear, although standing and craning my neck.
