Did you lose your brown tabby cat (male)?

I found a neutered male brown tabby cat this evening on Prospect Place place between Classon and Franklin. He is EXTREMELY friendly and looks to be around 7-8 years old. He is thin and dirty - probably has been outside for several days or weeks. He has a very long, white nose. Please PM me if you lost your cat or know of anyone that did. I know that finding a stray cat isn't a very uncommon occurrence in the hood but I thought that I would be hopeful that someone actually lost this guy! This cat approached me, put his paws on my leg, and "asked" to be picked up. So terribly sad.

Hi, I was just wondering if the cat had marble markings? My mother had lost a cat in the Ditmas Park area about 2 years ago and I am still searching for him. He is a neutered male brown tabby with marble swirl markings. Please contact me to let me know what happened with the cat you found.

Does he have semi longer hair? Not really long, but longer than short? If so, this is a stray that was picked up and dumped later on Prospect. (Dont get me started... Do you have a pix?

he did have longish hair but not long like a persian. who picked this cat up? i do not have picutres of him but can google a cat that looks exactly like him

I am so sorry to hear about your mom's cat. That is devastating news. This cat actually had very short hair and he was very sick. Unfortunately he had to be euthanized when I took him to the vet. Thankfully we were able to help him through this instead of him dying on the street. He was a lovely cat - very, very sweet. I hope that your mom's cat eventually turns up. You never know ...
