Need High School Student to Let Students in at Slope Music

We are looking for a high school student to answer the door and let students in. That is the whole scope of the job... so the person can do their homework or read and when the bells rings just greet the students and let people out when their lesson ends. Well how hard is that? Apparently it is very hard to find someone who is reliable. We have hired two people since September and neither was responsible enough to keep showing up on time! The hours are tues, wed, and thurs. from about 3:45 till 6:30-7pm.

Did you hire them off of craigslist? Craigslist respondees are notoriously flaky.

Veets - do you mind if I post this to my local parent listserv? (It is parentsofnyteens).

I know my son would be interested but he doesn't get out of school until 4:00

I did post it on Craigs list in Sept. There were some people who responded who seemed like flakes. I got it down to two kids.. Hired one..it didn't work out.. hired another.. didn't work out. If I don't find someone through here, or putting word out to people I know I will post it again on Craigs list. Just tremendously inconvenient getting interrupted to answer the door when we are teaching.

Stacey I have no problem if you post it to your parent listserv.

Does your son go to school locally? Might be ok if it were "close" to 4pm. PM me if you think there is even a chance it could happen.
