You need to upload your photo to a photo hosting site like photobucket or flicker. Then copy the URL for the page with the photo. Then, in your profile, paste the URL into the "link to offsite avatar" section. Make sure your photo isn't too huge, or it will compress all the posts in every thread you post on.

Alternatively, upload a .jpg file (a small one- check the exact dimensions in the profile section) while editing your profile.

am locking b/c of the above. 4th time this asshat has posted groups of posts with the same message. I deleted the first 3 rounds. now I'm irritated.
