From the PSN list serv:
No Mosquito Spraying in Prospect Park During Celebrate Brooklyn Events
Dear Park Slope Neighbor,
We've just been informed by Celebrate Brooklyn Executive Producer Jack Walsh, and Councilmember Brad Lander's office, that they have been assured by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene that there will be no mosquito spraying in Prospect Park during Celebrate Brooklyn events, either tonight or for the remainder of their schedule.

They actually sprayed last night - 8/4. I saw the truck actively spraying and traveling west on 20th at 11:55pm. I was on 8th ave when I saw it. There was a police cruiser about 100 feet in front of it with lights on but no siren with the bullhorn on - "please stay inside..."
so maybe they are holding off only on the Prospect Park area but they definitely sprayed in Greenwood.
-
Yep, saw them in Green-Wood with official DEP trucks after they did the streets...
And now the mosquitoes have gotten WORSE!

And now the mosquitoes have gotten WORSE!Yeah not sure about the efficacy of this spraying. Don't most of the mozzies live in the canopy? Might take out a few dogs and small children though.

They don't know what they're doing. Seriously.
Howdy, Stranger!
