As I thought no different than Bush. Kept all the same policies as Bush. Obama aka Bush 2.0 is this change Americans voted for? LOL As i stated i many post, i would be surprised if he did bring the troops home and did other things other than what bush did.

Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta is supporting a plan that would keep 3,000 to 4,000 American troops in Iraq after a deadline for their withdrawal at year’s end, but only to continue training security forces there, a senior military official said on Tuesday.

    Bush started a war that ended up in 100,000 dead Iraqis, and around 150,000 US troops in Iraq.

    Obama is going to keep 4,000 troops there?

    It's very disappointing, but you know damn well this is a dumb equivalency.

    no its not, its about the american empire and bases. It will remind everyone who are the bosses. war been over for so long now still have bases in Japan and Germany. The birtish and french still have bases in alot of its former colonies.

    Just a reminder for all, they can get anyone at any time, when people truly give up something there would be no more bases and troops at all.

    Also the military spending is alot not changed at all, whats the point of change when the warmongers name just changes. yet policies and are the same. and whats up with the cia to military to cia vis versa personal changes at the top?

    We still have bases in Japan because Japan wants us there. They spend very little of their GNP on their own defense. As for us having bases in Germany, we have drawn down the amount of troops that we have there and like in the US when we close a base, the locals are bitching that their economy is going into the crapper because AMERICAN troops and their families are not there to spend money which keeps them afloat.

    you really think the japanese want them? they been trying to years to get the americans out! but american won't leave lol.

    I doubt they're local economies would tank at all. they have less crime etc....
