FYI. The Giant Jet Game will not be on TV here. They have had a lot of the Giant games on TV this year but here, one of the most important games will not be shown. This area is considered a small potential audience and they will be showing the Bucs vs Panthers at 1pm. The only reason the Bucs are on is because it is an away game. All their home games (except the Saturday Night game against Dallas.) were blacked out because of poor attendance. No sell outs..

Joe, I remember the Dodgers Symphony that used to play 3 blind mice when the Umps came on the field and if an opposing batter struck out they would play him all the way back to the dugout and bang on the drum when he sat down. Then there was Hilda Chester who sat on the third base side and used to ring a cow bell for every Dodger hit or good play. No place in baseball can ever replace Ebbets Field and the Characters that went to the games. More to come... :santa:

Some more Ebbets Field Trivia- Gladys Gooding played the organ. At one time Old Gold Cigarettes and Wheaties sponsered the Dodgers on the radio. If a Dodger hit a home run, Red Barber would shove a case of Old Golds or a case of Wheaties down the home plate screen for the homer hitter.

When there was a sell out crowd (which was often) they would open the center field gate out on to Bushwick Ave for the fans to get out quickly.

Some names you may not know: Goody Rosen played center field and Tommy Brown played S.S. while the regulars fought WW2. Gene Hermanski played Left field quite often before they got Andy Pafko from the Cubs. Okay, I am boring you. Good Night... :santa:

Correction on my Ebbets Field Trivia. It was BEDFORD Ave where the gate let out, not Bushwick Ave. A lot of people used to gather outside the big fence & wall on Beford Ave during the game to catch Home Run balls similar to what happens in a lot of Ball Parks today...

Hey Patsy, We have some cute Alligators down here that Ace could play with. Uh Oh, they may decide that he could make a nice snack!!! He is a cute mutt. I guess dogs are like babies. Everyone thinks that they have the cutest one. :-00

On Sunday we have to hope that Eli has his game face on. When he goes off, he usually shows it in his expressions. The defense has to concentrate on upsetting Tony Romo. If he gets rattled he will throw interceptions and fumble plenty. Maybe the Giants can upset the Dallas wacky defensive co-ordinator. When he goes off the deep end, the Dallas Defense plays worse. :compress:

Hi Anthony..so glad you're feeling better...hope everyone had a great Christmas...Tina had her 1st Christmas dinner at her new home..(1st time ever I didn't have to cook-I loved it) with my son, Jessica & Steve, Scott and Justin..we had such a great time...snow tomorrow morning but it was beautiful the whole weekend in the 40's...had post-Christmas dinner at my friend's house tonite..it was so much fun...well, back to work tomorrow...goodnight..talk to us soon....

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.....we all went to moms and had a great time....I have to brag a little because my husband and I got a really surprising and beautiful gift from my kids...they are sending us on a CRUISE in May!!!!!!!!! We couldn't believe it....can't wait.
