Dog walker ticketed — Brooklynian

Dog walker ticketed

Saw a professional dog walker get a ticket for not cleaning up after one of his clients last week. After a cop pulled over a guy for running the red light at Eighth Ave and Flatbush, he got out of the car and ticketed the dog walker.

Sorry for the guy getting the ticket, in a way, but impressed by the cop.

  • I see so many cars run that light, and close calls with pedestrians who are caught by surprise. It's after Lincoln crosses Eighth Avenue and shoots out onto Flatbush at a tough angle. Scary.

  • You sorry for a guy who left poop on the sidewalk? Confused.

  • I find it hard to believe he was caught by a cop the first time he didn't pick-up after one his clients.

It is too bad we don't have more cops to enforce these laws.

  • +1 for the cop and don't tell me the dog walker didn't know that the mutt left a load in the street.

  • Now I need a cop to keep the dogs from peeing on my steps! And trees. And, isn't it inhumane to let a dog pee on garbage bags on the sidewalk? I mean, some guys gotta pick up that same bag and swing it into the garbage truck. That's just disrespectful.

There, I had to share ...

  • As a dog owner and a resident who lives VERY close to that corner, bravo police man - on both counts!

The light-running is awful around there and people who don't pick up after their dogs make others hate even those of us who do... Glad to see both enforced.
