For a while after Mayfield restaurant opened, we continued to talk about it on the thread that discussed the restaurant that was there previously, Franklin Roadhouse:

Needless to say, Mayfield has been a huge success.Good foodGood service...it meets the means and preferences of the neighborhood nicely.The owners are soon going to open another place in Bed Stuy. "a bar with a taco truck in the backyard"That's good, because I don't know that western Crown Heights would support yet another mexican place.

Wow its already been 3yrs?! Kudos to the owner for closing for a day to put on a staff appreciation party. Is this normal in the restaurant industry?

Most places reserve parties for their slowest night of the week—hence, Monday.
