Finding source of water leaks in building

A basement unit in my building occasionally suffers water damage, and not just when it rains hard. Plumbers (Hlad) worked on water pipes, but the problem persists. A Google search provided some options, but I thought maybe somebody here might make a good suggestion, based on a similar experience. Thanks in advance.

Do you notice that it happens now only when it rains? Do you have any cracks on the outside walls or on the ground around the perimeter of the house?

If the water is coming through the brick and cement you can do one of two things. You can have the building pointed which is putting new mortar in between the bricks or you can try the cheaper way....get a can of Thoroseal, it's liquid silicone and "paint" the outside of the building with it. It's clear and water resistant and works great. I used it years ago on my house and it stopped a huge leak where the water was coming through the brick when it rained hard because the bricks were quite porous.

you can run a camera through the pipes to find a leak that's not easily found. roto rooter is one of the companies that does this.
