While we are at it, I think we should get rid of New Lots, a neighborhood in East NY that was named in the 1600s, by Dutch farmers who lived in West brooklyn and were looking East.
Clearly, those "lots" are no longer "new".

Using that logic we would have to change the name of "New" York, "New" Jersey and the other new states and areas so it's quite unfeasible.

As I understand it they'd have to renumber and rename all the addresses on Flatbush, which would be a big headache for little/no gain.
