24 Hour Lockdown — Brooklynian

24 Hour Lockdown

hamilton
edited November -1 in Park Slope

Last night I was walking down 11th St. and noticed a Police car parked outside DeBlasios house.

This morning on my way to C-town, what did I see, another car guarding the house while Billy D. and family are in P.R. soaking up some sun and the taxpayers are being soaked to protect an empty house .

But not to worry, this Police Officer is recouping some of the cost by ticketing someone whose parking space he's using.

  • It's like the 1980s all over again!!!!

  • DeBlasio is now a public figure that needs a security detail, and so does his house. No new news here.

  • Hmmm, "Hamilton Jerking It" would be a more apt handle.

Why do you remind me of Spicoli from Ridgemont High.

You are quite the wit, but unfortunately it's a dim one.

True, he and his family are entitled to protection, but when I see two Police SUV's and a patrol car parked outside his house, I,as well as his neighbors feel it's a bit of overkill.

That along with a neighbor getting ticketed from the 78th Pct for parking 5 minutes before the alternate side of the street restriction expired .

This is from a Pct that hasn't issued a speeding ticket in over a month .

I may be wrong, but I think this may qualifies as news.

  • This is only occasionally a news site.

  • Thats news to me

  • Oh, so now its two SUV's and a car, where before it was just a car.... Well just keep us informed when the mass demonstration will be. I'm sure we'll all attend.

I should have stated i pass 11th st every day and the SUV's and Patrol car combination I mentioned was on Monday, not yesterday or today.

    sorry about that Sherlock.

  • I hope there is a drum circle. No demonstration in front of a Mayor's house is complete without one.

  • Fellow Brooklynians: Please join me in immediately requesting from your public officials a police escort for the jealous Hamilton. In addition I have requested two helicopters to be at Hamilton's beck and call each morning with their rotors twirling promptly at 7 a.m. inside Prospect Park. In order to pay for the program the 78th Precinct will give parking tickets to the helicopters each morning promptly at 7:05 a.m.

  • Relying on parking tickets to balance the city's projected $2B deficit, seems insufficient.

We also have the pesky matter of all of the city municipal unions lacking contracts, and believing they are owed $6B in COLAs alone.

    ....Including the NYPD.

  • WOW! That's gonna be a lot of tickets!

Also you have failed to request a security detail for Hamiltons "I AM NOT BEING DEFENSIVE" home whether it is occupied or empty! I'm pretty sure the lights are always on, but you can never tell if anyone is ever home.

    I'll get the drummers notified.

That's kinda lame and infantile, but not unexpected.

I recommend you keep at it and eventually you may come up with something humorous.

    Speaking from experience.

Not at all , but you may want to update what you consider a sense of humor, it's kinda stale, as usual..

  • Hamilton "I AM NOT BEING DEFENSIVE!!!!",

I guess everyone falls below your exalted opinion of yourself. Have you ever considered that others may not have the same opinion of you? I have yet to find anything witty or humorous in any of your postings. Perhaps all the attributes that you try to project on others (lame, infantile, kind of stale) are more reflective of you. I feel like you are some super defensive 13 year old trying real hard to be funny and create an uproar, then you get really mad and lash out when nobody sees it your way.

    Feeling sorry for you.

  • I guess I hit a nerve, it sounds like your suffering from posting envy.

  • So, uh lock this thread down maybe? No police resources are needed.

  • But there is nothing to be envious of. Again you give yourself too much credit.

Look if you don't like what I post don't read it, just stay with earth shaking events like grocery store openings.
