I had a really good spicy pork burrito (made on request) at a Mexican restaurant called San Luca Tierra Mexicana on the corner of 47th and 7th in Sunset Park. The filling itself was more flavorful than chile pepper hot but it did include a side of hot sauce made out of crushed chile peppers and green tomato. The wrap and the sour cream were standard but like I say the filling is pretty good. They also make great tortas.

Sounds tasty. I've been meaning to head out to Sunset Park for some mexican food, but never really know where to go and it's kinda far to travel for a work day.
What else was on their menu, any moles or tamales?

I love a good torta. And they're so hard to find. The torta was one thing I was a little disappointed with at Chavella's.

Torta's!!

Carnivore , are you talking about a torta torta?

The chicken , steak, or tongue sandwiches with melted muenster or mozzarella cheese , avacado , shredded lettuce and sour cream!
Is that what you are talking about?

I have been looking for a mexican place here that makes them.

In Detroit , we have a Mexican town , and OMG thee best Mexican food ever! So many great resturants to choose from .

My best bud cooks great mexican food too , and she taught me how to make torta's . It's pretty easy , but I don't wanna have to always make my own.

If you want the recipe let me know.

There's a place called Taco Taco on the UES that makes the most amazingly delicious tortas.
