good one-on-one basic obedience trainer?

i'm taking a basic obedience class with my puppy, but we're really getting very little out of it besides socialization (which we can get elsewhere). not to brag, but my pup is a pretty affable and easygoing guy and tends to get overlooked amidst the hyperactive 6-month-old rottweiler and the super-barky year-old cairn terrier and a couple others who need tons of special attention. it's a big group, too.

can anyone recommend a one-on-one trainer? i'm pretty mad because i paid a lot for this class, but i'm sure i'll be more mad (at myself) if i don't do the right work to shift my puppy from generally well-behaved and cute to reliably trained. but i also don't have tons of extra cash floating around. (ps - THANK YOU to all the people who recommended the muffins' friends low-cost neuter certificate - we're doing the deed this tuesday at the prospect park vet...)

thoughts? i'm in south park slope, in case it matters.

How about Marion of http://compliantdog.com/? She's great - has tons of experience with many kinds of dogs and can assess where you are "at" as a trainer yourself and take it from there.
Aside from being a great positive trainer, she also spends quite a bit of time volunteering at the Brooklyn CACC. Your money is funding a good cause.
