The Sun puts the spotlight on Sunset Park today, billing it as a cheaper alternative to somewhat nearby Park Slope, and focusing on all the development going on in the neighborhood. This includes 420 42nd Street, a controversial building that even has its own YouTube protest video (right). So the neighborhood is changing, and never is that more clear than in the plight of 22-year-old NYU grad Lindsey Nelson, whose description in the Sun is so textbook g-word that we must share it with you.

Lindsey Nelson, 22, a recent graduate of New York University, said she and her roommate were attracted to the large number of families and sense of safety when she first visited Sunset Park after seeing an advertisement on Craigslist. On the flip side, she said it is difficult to find bars or cafes in the area like the ones she became accustomed to in the West Village. "We're pretty isolated — most of my friends live in or around Williamsburg," she said. "But everybody is nice and the food is great."

Don't worry, Linds, pretty soon all those West Village-style bars and cafes you love will come to Sunset Park to cater to you and your buds, and then the nice people with the great food will go away forever.·
