Why are there so many Muddy Waters' threads?

Subject: Why are there so many Muddy Waters' threads?

What gives? That subject is way too boring (hence I can't read them and need someone to tell me) for that many threads.

Comments

  • They're all old threads from over the past couple of years that got bumped up. No need to read 'em.
  • And the reason for a bump up?

Someone who likely has an interest in Muddy Waters or is friends with the owner dredged up an old thread about it yesterday and started trying to pick a fight in defense of it. I think someone just wanted to bring up the other threads to show that many people have had unpleasant experiences with the place and/or the owner over a long period of time.

Probably because a newbie appeared on the board seeming to sing the praises of said establishment, I suspect the horror threads were bumping as a reminder/counter balance. Or ask Carnivore. He won't eat you. Probably.

A666 and Daver pretty much have it right. Although (as you'll see if you read those threads) I never had any problem with MW personally, she definitely built herself some serious animosity among people in the neighborhood (and beyond, as evidenced by the TV spot). When her or her friend (it doesn't really matter which) revived that dead thread to try to stir up shit, I thought it only fair that all the old threads were revived along with it. And it's totally disingenuous of her (or her friend) to try to make it a race issue. She's hated by many neighborhood people of all races. Check the news clip in the Muddy Waters/Well Lounge on Channel 11 News thread; the people she ripped off in that story were black.
  • I was wondering why some person decided to start posting defensive posts. Is that really her? She isn't helping her biz much with the "attitude".
