Ali self-service laundry — Brooklynian

Ali self-service laundry

I'm going out of town on Monday night and need to do some laundry.
A few cashmere blend gentle wash and hang to dry items, and some regular clothes. I was thinking of going to Ali Laundry (St. Johns) on Saturday morning.

Does anyone know how early they open? Also, prices per washer and dryer? Is it easier early on Saturdays (in n out in 2 hours or less) or should I go tonight or wait until Monday morning?

Any help apprecitated.

  • when I've gone in before 9 a.m. on a saturday, it's usually not too crowded. I believe they open at 7 a.m. and would advise going then. I drop off my laundry, though, so I can't help with the pricing issue.

    good luck!
  • Thanks for the reply!
When taking it in on saturday is the service same day?

    Are you serious? Wow.
  • Yes, I was serious!
Last time I checked, this board was for asking questions, specifically to veterans of the area. Is that no longer the practice? In the past, I have had an experience where my laundry was disolored by machines in laundromats and clothes lost from laundry services.

Accordingly, I had a few questions. Attempting to find out the quality and prices of local establishments is perfectly valid. If you do not like my question, don't post. Or better yet, I won't post and you and those like you can circle jerk each other.
  • he does do same day service - I've dropped off on sat or sun AM and picked up justbefore closing at 7 p.m.

    good luck!
  • i used to live on that corner and go in all the time - his name is leroy, and he's super nice. don't be weirded out that he doesn't put a tag on your bag or give you a receipt when you drop it off, trust his memory - you'll get your right bag back. :) incidentally, his wife manages the happy cleaners on washington, caddycorner.
