Frank White
Has anyone been to Frank White cafe gallery social(?) yet? (Down on no-man's-land Atlantic & St. James Pl. - kind of a weird spot.) I've walked by and it looks nice.
Always looking for a new cozy spot within walking distance of the neighborhood where I can hole-up and get some work done, though don't know if it's that sort of place...

I did the same thing - walked by but didn't go in (I had to get home). They have a sign advertising that they have waffles. And as I recall, the wallpaper was very groovy... But I remember the sign to let passers by know what it was was teeny-tiny.

frank white is soooo cute! it kinda catches you off guard with the fresh interior design on atlantic ave. and yes the wallpaper is hot.
not to many menu options but the coffee is good. and waffle weekends....belgian waffle with bananas, whipped cream & caramel sauce!!!! heaven.
MOD NOTE: this poster appears in later posts to be an employee of frank white. FWIW. -
Here's a recent article from the Brooklyn Eagle on it: http://www.brooklyneagle.com/categories/category.php?category_id=6&id=16252

I walked by and pulled on the door, but it was locked. i think they're closed for a couple afternoon hours. it looked really cool and a lady yelled at me when i was down the block to "come back tonight!" it looks like a lot of effort went into the place; i think it's definitely worth some support. they also have free wifi.

I stopped in one day on my way back from Target. It's really nice inside and they have a gorgeous outdoor area that has a lot of potential for when the weather is nice again.

so I've been going to Frank White on Wed evenings for the last 2 weeks and have had a great time.
The outdoor space is excellent... they have a DJ and its not crazy crowded and free ice cream sundaes!!
What can get better than that? -
Free ice cream? There goes my summer slim down.
Loud DJ for dancing or quieter so you can talk with people you came to hang out with? -
Interesting. I'm over that way just about never, but I'll make a note to check it out when I'm looking for a walk destination.
