rock clubs live music locally

I posted this in the lounge also but I was hoping to keep it as local as possible.

We have a client in town this week (until Fri.) and I wanted to show him around Brooklyn. He is a southern rock n roller (from the 70's) and I was hoping I could take him to some Brooklyn places. Anyone know where there is some live music happening around here this week?

  • check the South Paw on 5th Ave in Park Slope. Awesome place to catch a show. Also Magnetic Fields on Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn Heights usually has some nice low key acts performing. My band played there and they had $1 beers for the duration of our set, so we made sure to play as long as we could!
  • Where is Magnetic Fields exactly?
  • on Atlantic between Henry and Hicks.
    subways:
    2/3 (Clark St. stop)
    4/5 (Borough Hall stop)
    M/R (Court Street stop)
    F/A/C (Jay Street-Borough Hall stop)
    F/G (Bergen stop)
here's a little area map with those subway stops marked thanks to the fine folks of google maps!
