Thursday Night Pedestrian Hit — Brooklynian

Thursday Night Pedestrian Hit

I know this is obviously a few days later, but I was walking home from the Brooklyn Museum stop at around 12:15 AM on Dec. 21st and saw a gypsy cab hit a woman crossing the south side of Washington Ave. and Eastern Parkway. (The driver stopped). It looked pretty bad, I phoned the 77th and they sent an ambulance over. I was exhausted and a few other people seemed to be staying, so I went home.

Does anybody know if she is alright? It was troubling to see and this woman was in my thoughts all weekend.

  • Help would probably arrive sooner if you just dialed 911. The Officer who answered your call at the 77 had to take down all of the information and then call 911 himself and relay all of the information to them. The precinct doesn't have the ability to assign these types of jobs over the radio or enter them directly into the computer.

In most cases it's quicker and easier to just use 911.
