Shipping to the Neighborhood

I'm getting married this spring and trying to figure out a solution to where to have our presents shipped. I don't want them being shipped to our apartment and disappearing while we're at work. Does anyone know of a business locally that receives packages?

  • Can you get a post office box and have the packages shipped there?

Having packages stolen is a real risk if they are shipped to your house. I had a package stolen last fall. It had a check in it and personal information. FedEd=x wasn't supposed to dump it in the hallway when no one was home to sign for it, but they did. Delivery guy is a moron.
  • I would call Fed X or UPS depending who is delivering your package and ask them if they have a depot where you can pick it up.
  • I got married last May. Most of our gifts were shipped to my office. I brought them home over a period of time.
  • We had all of our gifts shipped to the UPS Store at 315 Flatbush Avenue, across from the lovely Duane Reade. The folks in there are very pleasant.
  • ups and some times fedex and usps guys are known to dump stuff even if they suppose to have someone sign for it.

a month ago i had 2 packages each with stuff worth over a few thousand dollars dump infront of my door. :/ good thing i came home early.
