Pop-Up Restaurant Dewdrop Inn will feature the food of Chef John Conlin. Conlin has been cooking professionally since 2002 during which time he has developed expertise in "Slow Food," food with an emphasis on preserving traditional and regional cuisine, as well as sourcing food that encourages the farming of plants, seeds and livestock characteristic of the local ecosystem.

I suspect this is an experiment by The Usual to see if their space would be more successful if it provided food and service that is more upscale.

It would be great if they kept breakfast/brunch the same but then upgraded for dinner/special events.
Dinner there is just lonely.. menu is ok but always empty and kinda generic food. It really can't compete with the other options nearby..

And I think that's a great idea. I'm as much of a regular as I can be at the Usual for breakfast. I like it there. I love a diner breakfast, and I like the mix of people in there, too. I hope these special one-off events continue, and that we find out about them here.
