Garages at Lincoln Pl & Underhill

Does anyone know what the deal is with the 1-story building containing 7 individual parking garages at 268 Lincoln Place at Underhill (here's a streetview)? At first I thought it was parking for the adjacent apartment building but the ownership is different. Are these garages rented out individually? They appear to be well-utilized, though I don't think I've ever seen anyone using them. I walk by them all the time and I always wonder about it.

    I have a friend who lives in the Copely (the building on EP at Underhill), who rents one of the garages. 

    A few years ago, she told me that a Copely resident owns the lot, and only rents the garages to other Copely residents. The owner had received numerous offers for the lot over the years, but turns them down.

    Interesting, thanks for the anecdote. That's kind of neat, though it is also a sign of how crazy the car/parking situation is in PH.
