Subject: Long day, adjorned to 11.15.06
Very long day at the Sate Assembly hearing, but well worth it. Comm. Lancaster of the DOB was up first to assuage all of our concerns and discuss self certification (topic of the day), enforcement and improvements in DOB.
Other speakers ranged from NYC Public Advocate, City Council Members, Community Board District Managers/Chairs, state boards and local activists...and lots of questions from the State Assembly Committee.
Round II has been set for November 15, 2006. Ought to be another long and interesting day. Those who were scheduled to speak can do so then, those who'd like to speak can show up day of.
Howdy, Stranger!
