That's my cat's favorite too.... I've tried to get them to eat "healthier" canned food with little success. One cat is picky and a really slow eater, the other almost inhales his food. Neither of them like food with chunks in.. somewhat limits what I can find to give them. Neither show any interest in people food.
A big fave is dried lamb lung (sounds gross) - they've even managed to open the drawer it's kept in, to help themselves. -
Mine won't eat any of the canned varieties that are cut in little cubes - they just lick the gravy off.
Erm, where does one get dried lamb lung? -
That's weird - my cats ONLY like the food that's chunky with gravy - although Boy Cat licks the juices off.
Girl Cat eats SUPER fast, always lifting her head to see where Boy Cat is. She eats her food and then runs to eat his.
She knows I'm on to her, so when she is done eating, I block her, and she is sooooooooooo smart, she walks around like "la di da" until she thinks I'm not looking and then she runs, runs, runs around until she can push Boy Cat out of his food and eat his too.
Boy Cat is getting smarter and sometimes she goes and eats his food, so he goes and eats the food she left.
It's like a giant SWITCH in the middle of the meal.
Crazy fuzz butts! -
I first discovered dried lamb lung as a free sample (it's targeted as a dog treat) from NYCPet.com (7th Ave/12th st).
They sell it in little ziplock bags. I break it into bitesize pieces and both cats go nuts for it.
Mind you, one of my cats goes nuts over the smell of bleach (same affect as catnip), so there's no accounting for taste. -

I'll have to check it out.FurryGreyBOy wrote: Mind you, one of my cats goes nuts over the smell of bleach (same affect as catnip), so there's no accounting for taste.
My Aubrey loves the smell of bleach too - he loves to chew on my fingers to begin with, but if I'm been cleaning with some bleach stuff it drives him wild.
He's also seriously into chewing plastic bags, which I know many cats are - it's a constant thing making sure he can't get to any. -
I'm treating my cats to rare roast beef and sour cream now.

they're really pleased they keep you on as their human right about now, no? -
Well, they had a traumatic day. Earlier I let them lounge around in my front yard, a friend down the block passed by with her two dogs. When she saw all three cats out front she put on a look of grave concern. All of a sudden a third dog, who wasn't on the leash and must have been 90 years old in human years perks his ears and gives chase to all three right into my house. He's hobbling up the stairs, panting and weezing, my cats are long gone hiding under anything that they can squeeze their stout bodies under and when we find the dog he is hunkering down on their cat food just to prove that he's boss, and because he needs his energy back. Mass feline hysteria all around. So, roast beef and sour cream for my persecuted felines.

I like the new avatar. JJ is a cool cat - fits right in with the gang. -
Poor JJ. The whole time the dog was chasing the cats he just stood by the doorway clapping his hands yelling "DYN-O-MITE!". He's been that way since he was beaned on the head in a game of ultimate ping-pong. I actually tried to put in Ann B. Davis but her head is too long for a resize.
-
Ann B. would have been funny too. Maybe you can find another pic of her without the big head.

I think lower-left corner cat, "demon eyes", is pretty awesome. I like eyes that only photog in demonic form. -

I love demon eye photos, too. I have some good ones of mine as well. -

I'm likin' the one in the upper-left - my boy gets that exact same annoyed look quite often - they look pretty similar, but mine has a white hourglass shape on his nose.
Howdy, Stranger!
